When
restoring this grand home, Gerald Pomeroy chose to work with Revival
Stoneworks for the interior granite and marble fabrication and
installation. Homes in Boston’s
South End were routinely robbed of carved fireplace mantels and other
architectural embellishments when converted into apartments some 30
years ago. Happily, one Victorian
brownstone was overlooked—neglect was its best friend.
